Semin’s Story

Semin and her family fled Afghanistan, where her husband was the mayor and she was a dedicated schoolteacher. When the Taliban took over, they sought safety and were placed in Bloomington through a refugee program. Arriving with nothing, they turned to Healing Hands, where we provided clothing, furniture, dishes, and groceries to help them rebuild their lives.

Without financial partnerships, we wouldn’t be able to assist people like Semin in their time of need. Thank you for making a meaningful impact in their lives.
